PÀRIS, divine fragrances
from the most beautiful gardens
A divine garden…
On Mount Ida, where Páris was languishing while waiting for the goddesses, grow the most beautiful plants in the world. The mild, warm climate is filled with the scents of Lily of the Valley, Rose and Tangerine.
And the Greeks, indefatigable travelers, managed to bring back even rarer ingredients from their odysseys, such as vanilla, oud and musk. From this divine garden, Pàris, a perfumer inspired by the muses, has composed the exceptional fragrances that will seduce every woman.
Each fragrance is accompanied by simple definition of its characteristics. Each woman can rediscover familiar olfactory facets or delve into unexplored continents. Each can decide what is offered to her by Pàris.
The birthplace of the exceptional
Giving a divine herbarium "à la plus belle": for Pàris, it is more than just a desire for quality, it's a quest for the absolute.
There is only one way to achieve it: and it is on our doorstep, in Grasse, France, in the heart of the Mediterranean region.
Grasse has earned its reputation as the capital of perfumers over the centuries, thanks to an exceptional convergence of all the elements: its sunny climate above the Riviera, preserved fields dedicated to flowers for generations, and above all, the large factories of essences that transform the natural perfection of plants with sublime techniques that capture fragrances, techniques whose secrets are well guarded.
And obviously it is in Grasse that Pàris sources its unique raw materials and combines these with the most rigorous expertise, without which the notion of high perfumery would not exist.
With 145 years of expertise behind it, our partner in Grasse provides Pàris with professional excellence combined with creative inspiration. Continuously seeking to improve its floral extraction techniques, it has developed processes that preserve the most fragile natural molecules. Its encyclopedic knowledge of fragrances also allows it to make very significant advances in the subtle imitation of nature, in the rare case that natural ingredients no longer provide the necessary resources or may be unfit for cosmetic purposes.
Our raw materials
"A la plus belle", as well as being the most beautiful is also the rarest, the freshest, the purest essences. Pàris has selected the best natural extracts present in our five Eau de Parfum :
- Oud & Bourbon Vanilla: Sweet Orange peel extracts (Citrus Sinensis), Oud extracts (Aquilara Malaccensis), Vanilla extracts (Vanilla Planifolia)
- Jasmine Absolute & Pink Pepper: Bergamot peel extracts (Citrus Aurantium Bergamia), Pink Pepper extracts (Schinus Terebinthifolius), Jasmine Sambac extracts (Jasminum Sambac)
- Iris Accord & Jasmine Sambac : Patchouli extracts (Pogostemon Cablin), Sweet Orange peel extracts (Citrus Sinensis), Elemi extracts (Canarium Commune), Pink Pepper extracts (Schinus Molle), Mandarin extracts (Citrus Reticulata), Black Pepper extracts (Piper Nigrum), Jasmine Sambac extracts (Jasminum Sambac)
- Violet Accord and Patchouli from Singapore: Patchouli extracts (Pogostemon Cablin)
- Rose de Grasse and Fruity Accord: Citrus Lemon Peel extracts (Citrus Limonum), Rose flower extracts (Rosa Centifolia)
Exotic, distant, tropical, not all our natural ingredients come from Grasse: but they are sourced in their home land with the utmost ethical respect, where a fair income is provided to their farmers.
The Queen of Materials
But if you are going to honour one queen of materials, it has to be the Rose de Grasse, which flourishes on fifty hectares of precious hills nearby. The cultivated surface has become so rare that it's almost worthy of an appellation contrôlée. There, from the month of May and for a short few weeks, the Rose Centifolia, the aptly named one hundred petalled-flower, creates its scented perfume in every shade of pink. The petals are harvested by hand, flower by flower, at the moment when the concentration of perfume is at its maximum, between 5 and 9 o'clock in the morning. Pàris isn't counting: it takes almost 400 kg of roses to obtain 1 kg of rose concrete, this semi-solid perfume from which the finest juices are created.
